Scouting for Food

A food collection campaign to help Augusta's hungry

Cub Scout Pack 603, charted by the American Legion, will take part in the annual Scouting for Food drive and will collect hundreds of pounds of food to support needy families in our area.

On the weekends of Nov 1 & 8, 2008 and the week in between, our Cub Scouts distributed bags like this one to homes in their neighborhood by hanging them on front step doorknobs or tucked under doormats (do not place in mailboxes as it is against the postal law).

Bag Collection Day - Saturday, November 15, 2008
Beginning no earlier than 9:15 a.m., our Cubs will return to the same streets and homes that they distributed bags to in their area. They will pick up these bags left on doorsteps and porches. Cubs will be working in pairs or with their parents. Please try to have your bag of food out on your front porch by 9 AM, Saturday, November 15.

All Food Collected Will be Used for Our Community’s Neediest Families
